From 1708 to 1824, the portion of Washington Street in Boston, Massachusetts, from School Street to Dock Square was known as "Cornhill." It was re-named "Washington Street" in 1824 (cf. Boston Street Laying-Out Dept. A record of the streets, alleys, places, etc. in the city of Boston. Boston: City Printing Dept., 1910)
