English: Coolmine is a townland in the civil parish of Clonsilla, in the ancient barony of Castleknock. It is not co-terminous with the informal residential area known as Coolmine. Many of the residential areas in that district are actually located in the adjacent townland of Sheepmoor. Coolmine railway station is located in the townland of Carpenterstown. Coolmine is bounded to the northeast by the river Tolka, to the east by the "West End Retail Park", to the south by the Clonsilla Road, to the southwest by the Shelerin Road and to the northwest by the Blakestown Road. Almost all of the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre is contained in the townland.
