English: Conversation Piece (2010) by Ailsa Magnus.
The work features three figures representing the past, present and future development of the area and features a worker holding a Terry's Chocolate Orange to represent the past, a professional person representing the present community and a child representing the future. The figures stand on a base made of stone which is carved with the inscription: Listen to the past; talk about the present; look to the future. The base is surrounded by conversation lozenges bearing phrases suggested by local people representing their aspirations for the area.
It is located at the junction of Scarcroft Road and Bishopthorpe Road, York, and was unveiled in May 2010.Media in category "Conversation Piece by Ailsa Magnus"
