English: Compton is a village and civil parish in the English county of Berkshire, located in the extended River Pang valley, in the Berkshire Downs. The Pang runs through the village as a winter bourne; only seen to be flowing after periods of above-normal rainfall. It is the home of the Institute for Animal Health. Significant portions of the BBC Television series Trainer were filmed in and around Compton and the neighbouring village of East Ilsley. It is also noted for being the area where NWA gained recognition.
