Chinese Room
The walls of this room were decorated with black and dark blue lacquered panels covered with gilded images, completed in the late 1720s. Floor was made of white, black and red marble, while the ceiling was decorated with nine paintings depicting the scenes from the Roman mythology (1650s). Furnishings included Chinese screens, two clocks dating from 1646 and a clavichord, that allegedly belonged to Queen Marie Casimire, wife of John III Sobieski.
