Chelsea Enclave, at 177 Ninth Avenue between 20th and 21st Street in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, occupies a site that until 2008 was the main entrance of the General Theological Seminary. In need of funds to renovate their other facilities, the Seminary sold development rights to this location for a building, designed by the Polshek Partnership, of 53 residential condominiums along with a new library and other amenities for the seminarians. The building was completed in 2010 and is part of the Chelsea Historic District. (Source: [1])
