English: Chūichi Nagumo (南雲 忠一, Nagumo Chūichi March 25, 1887 - July 6, 1944) was an admiral of the Imperial Japanese Navy. He was the successful commander of the attack on Pearl Harbor, but was defeated at the important Battle of Midway.
日本語: 南雲 忠一(なぐも ちゅういち、1887年3月25日 - 1944年7月8日)は、日本海軍の軍人、海軍大将。山形県米沢市出身。海兵36期。太平洋戦争開戦前は軽巡那珂、重巡高雄の艦長や軍令部の参謀、課長などを歴任。艦隊派(軍縮条約反対派)の一人であり、大鑑巨砲主義者でもあった。
