English: Carnarvonshire was built 1870 with her first name Eliza by Fisher at New Brunswick, Canada. She was quickly sold to the British owner T. Williams & Co. of Liverpool and was renamed Carnarvonshire. In circa 1890 she was sold to Norwegian owners and was renamed Catharine. 1894 August 7 she groundet at the American coast and was lost. [1]
Her dimensions were: length × beam = 194 × 38 ft (59.1 × 11.5 m), Tonnage: 1,393 GRT and 1,336 NRT.[2]
