English: Remains of the secret World War 2 Radar Station at Cape Point. A newly designed 10cm Admiralty NT 273 S transmitter / receiver was hurriedly erected here in 1943 in response to increased enemy U-boat (submarine) attacks on allied convoys. This station was developed and manned by the South African Defence Force Special Signal Services (SSS). Later the foundation was converted into the present lookout.
