The Calvert Street Bridge was an iron trestle completed in 1891 by the Rock Creek Railway to carry streetcars from downtown Washington, D.C., to upper northwest D.C. and suburban Maryland. It was replaced in 1935 by the Duke Ellington Bridge, which was initially called the Calvert Street Bridge.
