Calle Gran Colombia is one of the numerous streets in the Centro Histórico de Quito in Spanish....Historic Center of Quito, the best-preserved, least altered historic center in Latin America. In Spanish, (El Centro Histórico de Quito) was constructed on what was once a 16th century Inca city at 2,850 meters above sea level in the Andes Mountains near the Equator.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site that stretches over 790 acres and contains 130 monumental buildings, 8,000 smaller properties, The Colonial Center of Quito has numerous Churches and Convents.

Quito (/ˈkiːtoʊ/; Spanish pronunciation: [ˈkito] (About this soundlisten); Quechua: Kitu; formally San Francisco de Quito) is the capital and the largest city of Ecuador‎, and at an elevation of 2,850 metres (9,350 ft) above sea level, it is the second-highest official capital city in the world, after La Paz, and the one which is closest to the equator.
