Bugle Rock (Kannada: ಕಹಲೆ Kahale) is a massive rock situated in Basavanagudi ("Basava" means ‘bull’ and "gudi" means ‘temple’), area of South Bangalore, in the state of Karnataka, which is an abrupt rise above the ground of peninsular gneiss as the main rock formation and with an assessed age of about 3000 million years. 12°56′35″N 77°34′12″E / 12.94306°N 77.57°E / 12.94306; 77.57
