English: British Rail put D6999 into service in August 1965. It was renumbered 37299 in February 1974 then rebuilt and renumbered 37426 in February 1986. It carried the bilingual name Y Lein Fach - Vale of Rheidol from May 1986 until May 1992, and Royal Scotsman from March 2001.
