- Built in 1898, with new approach spans in 1929, Bridge Number 210.52 is the oldest extant swing bridge in California.
- The Southern Pacific Railroad Shasta Route, built as the California and Oregon Railroad and the Central Pacific Railroad between Roseville and Portland, Oregon was the first thrust north of the Central Pacific Railroad to tap the Oregon market. [1]
