English: The WDD Blue Monument Challenge was launched to mark the first United Nation observed World Diabetes Day in 2007. Iconic monuments and other buildings are illuminated with blue light to mark World Diabetes Day. Nowadays (2016) it is an anniversary challenge any organization can take part.
