English: Bìxì (贔屭/赑屃) is one of the nine "children of the dragon". It is a common feature in Chinese architectural design. It is usually depicted as a tortoise, often with small ears and some hair on its head, carrying stelae with inscriptions. Besides China, they can also be found in Vietnam, Korea, Mongolia, and (just two of them, from the Jin Dynasty) in Russia.Bixi is not to be confused with :Category:Pixiu

Français : Bixi (贔屭/赑屃) est, dans la mythologie chinoise, un des neuf fils du dragon. Il figure fréquemment dans les motifs architecturaux chinois. Associé à la fois à la force et à l'écriture, il est représenté sous la forme d'une tortue pouvant supporter de lourdes charges, le plus souvent de hautes stèles porteuses d'inscriptions. En plus de la Chine, des représentations de Bixi se retrouvent au Viêtnam, en Corée, en Mongolie, et même en Russie.
