English: The Bishop’s House (aka House of Kelk), 25 Street of the Prophets, Jerusalem - THE BISHOP’S HOUSE
The Bishop’s House was built in 1876 as a residence for the director of the London Society for Promoting Christianity Among the Jews. A small room for the bishop’s use, called "the prophet’s room," was built on the roof. From 1878 until 1902, Arthur Hastings Kelk, formerly vicar of St Stephens, the clergyman who headed the society in Jerusalem, lived there.
Today a large residential complex is located on its premises and the house is the aesthetic, historical and required part of the project.Camera location | View all coordinates using: OpenStreetMap |
