English: The One Earth Bioregions 2023 Framework is a system of categorizing the earth by its various biogeographical realms. The hierarchy in One Earth's system of classification is as follows:

• Realm (the broadest form of classification)
• Subrealm (contained within the Realm; contains the Bioregion)
• Bioregion (contained within the Subrealm; contains the Ecoregion)
• Ecoregion (the most precise form of classification)

There are currently 14 Realms, 52 Subrealms, 185 Bioregions, and 844 Ecoregions. All Ecoregions are classified into 14 Biomes.

In One Earth's framework, Ecoregions only account for terrestrial areas. In contrast, Realms, Subrealms, and Bioregions include the adjacent marine areas, where it is applicable.
