Private mansion Besserié also said House Nicot (XVIth-XVIIth c.)

[edit]

The realization of the remarkable decor renaissance of the doorway can be attributed with certainty to one of the owners of the sixteenth century, Thomas Besserié, advisor to the Presidial of Nimes, or the notary Jean Nicot, who had another house in front and whose son Jean, France's ambassador to Portugal, introduced tobacco to France. The facades with their segmentad arches windows and the angle in cutaway decorated with wrought-iron balconies are made between 1770 and 1780 for the De Possac family .
