English: Bertha was a four-masted steel barque built in 1891 with her originally name Lathom by T. Royden & Sons, Liverpool for Macvicar, Marshall & Co., Liverpool. The Lathom sold 1899 to D.H. Wätjen & Co., Bremen, and was renamed Bertha. In October 1900 the Bertha foundered and lost at sea.
Dimensions: length × beam × depth = 324 × 46 × 25.2 ft (98.7 × 14 × 7.6 m). Tonnage: 3082 GRT and 2985 NRT. Sail plan: Rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails. [1]
