English: Highly weathered and therefore indistinct pivot benchmark at the junction of Vaughan Road and Magazines Promenade, New Brighton. Note:Pivot benchmarks are spherical depressions in horizontal surfaces, to which a cut mark (arrowhead) may point. A steel ball was placed in the depression and the surveyor's levelling staff held on top of the pivot.
