The Battle of Yingkou (Japanese 牛莊作戦 Chinese 营口之战)) was a land battle of the First Sino-Japanese War between the forces of Japan and of Qing China, fought March 4 1895 outside the treaty port town Yingkou, Manchuria. It is sometimes referred to as the Battle of Niuzhuang or Newchwang.
