Balrampur–Ramanujganj is a district in the northern part of Chhattisgarh state in central India. It was formed in 2012 from a larger Surguja district. It should not be confused with Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh which borders Nepal.
Balrampur – Ramanujganj district of Chhattisgarh borders the states of Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh. Its terrain is marked by the Satpuda hill range and dense forests. In the irrigated valley areas, the district grows paddy, maize, peanut, wheat, and gram. It is also home to major Hindu heritage sites such as the one in Dipadih.
