English: Ballysally is a housing estate in Coleraine, County Londonderry, with a population of almost a 1000 people. It was built at around the beginning of the troubles to house the Protestants in Derry who had been forced to move as a result of the riots in derry and the outbreak of The Troubles, which resulted in it becoming a very Loyalist area. The estate has been described as one of the most disadvantaged in Northern Ireland and one which has been ravaged by paramilitary murders, vandalism, poverty and unemployment.
