The Ballance Statue was unveiled in April 1897, erected as a tribute to John Ballance, New Zealand Premier 1891-93 and leader of the Liberal Party 1889-93. It is located in the grounds in front of Parliament Buildings. New Zealand Heritage Category 1,register number 211.
