The barn was used for the storage of grain, as well as for the storage of agricultural equipment.

Two large doors on the gable ends allowed the passage of the loaded harvesting trolleys.

In the back third of the barn, the floor is made of tamped smooth clay on which the harvest grain was threshed with a flail by hand.
