The exact date of construction of the Pazar Mosque in Haşimiye Square is unknown. However, since the decorations on its minaret bear the characteristics of the Zengid period, it is estimated that it was made in this period, namely in the 12th century. The body of the minaret with a single balcony in the northwest corner of the courtyard is divided into three parts. The lower part is octagonal, the middle part is cylindrical, and the upper part up to the balcony is dodecagon. On each face of the dodecagonal section, there are knotted arches made of pipe mouldings, reminiscent of the Zengid period decorations. With the additions made in recent years, the courtyard, narthex and interior space of the mosque have lost their originality. It took its name from the Attar Bazaar located at the entrance of the bazaar. However, the real names of the building are Historical Mosque and Hoca Ahmed Mosque.
