Atkinson & Company (1916-1933) and Atkinson Lorries (1933) Ltd. (1933-1970) was a British manufacturer of steam lorries, lorries, buses and other commercial vehicles at Frenchwood Works, Preston. A takeover by Foster and Seddon Ltd of Woodstock factory, Oldham (Seddon lorries) followed in 1970. When International Harvester bought the company in 1974, the new brand name became Seddon-Atkinson.
