The Armando Museum was located in a former church in the Dutch city of Amersfoort: the so-called Elleboogkerk ('Elbow church'). The church was severely damaged by fire on October 22, 2007, and the collection almost completely destroyed. A search started for a new venue for the remaining collection. It was found in the Oud-Amelisweerd mansion in Bunnik near Utrecht. This museum opened in 2014, but was closed in 2018 because of insufficient funding.
