Refers to an episcopal title in Ireland in the Catholic Church prior to the Reformation in Ireland. The See is named after the city of Dublin. Following the Reformation, there were parallel successions to the archiepiscopal title in the Roman Catholic Church and the established Protestant church – the Church of Ireland. Post-Reformation archbishops should be split to the appropriate denominational sub-categories:
