Hoje, estão instalados nos edifícios serviços do Governo Regional e da Secretaria Regional da Agricultura e Florestas.
Deutsch: Die Antiga Colónia Alemã (Alte Deutsche Kolonie) entstand Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts, als sich auch die Deutsch-Atlantische Telegraphengesellschaft hier niederließ und Arbeits- und Wohngebäude benötigte. Horta war zu der Zeit ein Knotenpunkt für transatlantische Seekabel von Weltbedeutung. Heute sind hier Abteilungen der Regionalregierung der Autonomen Region der Azoren und Einrichtungen der portugiesischen Land- und Forstwirtschaftbehörde untergebracht.

Deutsch-Atlantische Telegraphengesellschaft came to Horta. Today, the buildings are used by the regional government of the autonomous region of the Azores and the portuguese national agricultural and forestal secretary.
