Found in 1971 at the North Monumental Nymphaeum. Roman. Second century AD Heroic statue of Emperor Hadrian in the nude. It was assembled from 9 fragments. Some parts are missing. He wears a paludamentum draped over his shoulder, hanging down his back, the bottom end looped over his left forearm. The statue is similar in style to a fifth century BC statue by Diomedes of a Greek warrior in the Trojan war. H. 1,42 m. 2nd century AD.
