L'Angelo Nocchiero (The Angel-Helmsman) is a sculpture created in 1886 by Giovanni Scanzi (1840-1915) for the tomb of the family of Giacomo Carpaneto, Cav. Mauriziano (1811-1878) in Cimitero di Staglieno, Genova. After more than a century of collecting dust and other sediment, the marble surface was restored by local Genovese artisans in 2016. The sculpture depicts a Guiding Angel tying up the sails of his boat at the end of a successful life's journey.

The epigraph on the base of the monument reads, "AVVENTURATO CHI NEL MARE DELLA VITA EBBE NOCCHIERO SÌ FIDO" - "Blessed is he who on the sea of life had so sure a guide".
