In 1928, he became head of design at the Hayes Body Corp., where he did the the 1929-1932 Marmon, the 1929-1930 Roosevelt, the 1929-1932 Peerless, 1930-1933 American Austin, and the facelift for the Durant-derived 1931 DeVeaux. He was a counselor for Auburn, Packard, and White Truck, and designed the famous streamlined truck bodies for Labatt's. For Nash, he designed the limited-production Ambassador Eight Special Cabriolet. Among his other work are bicycles, Emerson radios, and even carousel cars. Pieces of his "streamlined furniture" were in production decades after their introduction.
