Aleksander Stępkowski is the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Poland, a professor at the Warsaw University’s Faculty of Law and Administration. Since 2016 he is the Head of the Chair of the Sociology of Law at the Warsaw University and member of the Scientific Board in the Polish Institute of Foreign Affairs since November 2017. He had created and he was the first President of the Ordo Iuris Institute for Legal Culture protecting life, marriage and family against contemporary threats. Stępkowski is a habilitated doctor of legal sciences, and his research activity concentrates on private and public comparative law and the interrelations between philosophy and legal culture. He received scholarship from the Foundation for Polish Science (2000 and 2001), University of Manchester (1999), University of Oxford (2002), Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (2003). He is editor of the book “Protection of Human Life in Its Early Stage.”
