The Air King Skyscraper, a vacuum tube radio, was introduced by Brooklyn-based Air King Products Co. in 1933, with the second iteration in 1935. The case was designed by John Gordon Rideout and Harold Livingstone Van Doren [1]. The radio chassis (plural) with five or six tubes was probably sourced from elsewhere. The shell was offered in thirteen different colours [2]; in the top part some models had either an artdecoish engraved plate, or a globe, or a clock.
