English: The Aile Gabriel (Gabriel Wing) of the Palace of Versailles is between the Cour Royale on the south and the Cour Gabriel (or Cour de la Chapelle) and the Chapelle Royale to its north. It was constructed in the early 1770s to the designs of Ange-Jacques Gabriel, who replaced most of the original wing in this location. The grand staircase was still incomplete in 1774, when work was halted due to lack of funds, but was finally completed in 1985, more or less to Gabriel's original designs. The eastern end of the wing is known as the Pavillon Gabriel.
