Deutsch: Das Dorf Ahenny ( irisch: Áth Eine) im Süden des County Tipperary in Irland entstand in seiner heutigen Form als Arbeitersiedlung der benachbarten Ormonde & Victoria Steinbrüche. Früher stellten die 1935 stillgelegten Steinbrüche die Hauptquelle der Schiefergewinnung in der Region und einige der bedeutendsten Schiefersteinbrüche in der Republik Irland dar. Die niedrigen Steinhäuser stehen an lediglich zwei Straßen, die das gesamte Dorf bilden.
English: Ahenny is a small village and civil parish in County Tipperary long celebrated for its ancient Irish High crosses. Close to the village is the early Christian foundation of Kilclispeen monastery and in the adjoining graveyard stand two celebrated Irish High Crosses: the Ahenny High Crosses.
