Agios Nikolaos church in Ano (Upper) Sangri is a single-aisle domed church, with an interior covered by successive layers of frescoes depicting the birth and baptism of Jesus Christ. The most recent fresco layer dates back to 1270. Few but very characteristic details from the 11th and 13th centuries may be detected, as can donor names.
