English: The majority of the original Shore Line Railway is still in use as part of the Northeast Corridor. However, several sections have been bypassed and abandoned, largely for curve straightening. These include the original alignment in Fair Haven, a section at Stone Creek (some of which is now used by the Branford Steam Railroad), a short section west of Guilford, realignments of the Connecticut River and Niantic River bridges, and sections at South Lyme and Giants Neck.
