English: A.G. Ropes was a wooden ship, built by I.F. Chapman & Co., Bath, Maine, USA for his own account. 1888 the ship was partially dismasted outside New York and 1905 dismasted in a typhoon near Japon. 1906 converted into a barge and lost 1913 together with her crew of three men.
Her dimensions were: length: 259.3 ft (79 m); width: 44.9 ft (13.6 m); depth: 28.6 ft (873.2 cm) and tonnage: 2461 GRT and 2341 NRT.[1]
