Known locally as "The House" or "The Old School House", this building has been claimed to be the school house for St Vincent's RC school but that was some distance away. Street directories show it to be the premises of carters (ie those who transport goods from the docks), and in the 1930s premises of a motor haulage contractor. As of 2017 it is the premises of a shed manufacturer.
