Deutsch: Das 3. Thüringische Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 71 wurde am 5. Mai 1860 errichtet. Das Regiment hatte seine Garnison in Erfurt (Stab, II. und III. Bataillon) bzw. in Sondershausen (I. Bataillon). In Erfurt lag das Regiment auf dem Petersberg in der Kaserne B (Stab), Kaserne A (II.) und Kaserne III (III. Bataillon).
