231 and 235 Second Avenue, the W.M. Everts [sic] U.S. Senate apartment buildings, at the corner of Second Avenue and East 14th Street in the Stuyvesant Square neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, were both named after William Maxwell Evarts, a U.S. Senator, Secretary of State and Attorney General whose home was once on this site.
