The grey-tracksuit clad police officers which accompanied the torch during the 2012 Summer Olympics torch relay. They both ran alongside the torch bearers as they processed the torch, as well as moving around the procession on bicycles. As well as being the security detail for the torch bearer, they were also involved in the mechanics of the relay - assisting with the lighting/extinguishing of the torches at the start and end of each day and during the handovers, as well as transporting unlit torches in specially made carriers slung across their back.
