1935 Maserati V8RI s/n 4504. First raced by Ralph (the racing pseudonym used by the Marquis George Raphael Bethenod de las Casas) in 1936, shipped to the US for the 1936 Vanderbilt Cup.[1] There it has remained ever since. It tried qualifying for the 1938 and 1939 Indy 500 as the "Cheesman Maserati #39", and continued to be active in SCCA racing with George Weaver (mainly at Watkins Glen) until the mid-1950s. Weaver named the car "Poison Lil" and it is still with the Weaver family today (2022).
