English: Originally built as the headquarters for the National Life Insurance Company. The insurance company vacated the building in 1922, and it was later purchased by the State of Vermont for the Agency of Agriculture, Food, & Markets. It is part of the Montpelier National Historic District.


Architect: S. Edwin Tobey of Boston.

Builders: L. D. Willcutt and Sons, also of Boston. 1891.
