Église Saint-Bonaventure-de-Paternos à Maubec (Isère)
[edit]English: From the old chapel (dedicated to Saint Bonaventure) of the convent of the Dominicans of Paternos, founded in 1472, only the square choir remains. The building, refurbished and enlarged by the Maréchale d'Ornano from 1627, then becomes a parish church instead of the ruined church of St. Victor de Paleyzin. At the beginning of the 19th century, the courtyard and the old cloister reached the vaulted entrance where the confessional was placed. In 1884 - 1885 the nave was enlarged to the west where the current gateway was placed. The old bell tower, destroyed by lightning, was on the side of the present sacristy.
Español: De la antigua capilla (dedicada a San Buenaventura) del convento de los dominicos de Paternos, fundada en 1472, solo queda el coro cuadrado. El edificio, restaurado y ampliado por la Maréchale d'Ornano desde 1627, se convierte en una iglesia parroquial en lugar de la iglesia en ruinas de San Víctor de Paleyzin. A principios del siglo XIX, el patio y el antiguo claustro alcanzaron la entrada abovedada donde se colocaba el confesionario. En 1884 - 1885, la nave se amplió hacia el oeste, donde se colocó la puerta de entrada actual. El viejo campanario, destruido por un rayo, estaba en el lado de la sacristía actual.
Français : De l'ancienne chapelle (dédiée à Saint Bonaventure) du couvent des Dominicains de Paternos, fondé en 1472, seul le chœur carré subsiste. L'édifice, réaménagé et agrandi par la Maréchale d'Ornano à partir de 1627, devient ensuite église paroissiale à la place de l'église ruinée de Saint-Victor de Paleyzin. Au début du XIXe siècle, on y accédait encore par la cour et par l'ancien cloître aboutissant à l'entrée voûtée où l'on plaça ensuite le confessionnal. En 1884 - 1885 la nef fut agrandie vers l'ouest où fut placée la porte d'entrée actuelle. L'ancien clocher, détruit par la foudre, était du côté de la sacristie actuelle. (Source)
