Pictures of the Çifte Minare Medrese (double minaret Koran school) before a major restoration. It has been built in 1271. In its back a recent restoration shows the original ground plan, but it still is mainly important for its wonderful Seljuk façade. A restoration, almost finished in June 2011, used a laser to evaporate the eroded parts. The result is astounding, the stone is much more white. Note that a same-named medrese in Erzurum is more famous, and might be mistaken for this one.
