Tapestries on the theme of Life of Clovis, belonging to the kings of France and coming from the Sainte-Geneviève abbey in Paris. These wool and silk tapestries were woven in the 1660s, probably in Brussels, by Jan Le Clerc, according to cartoons of the french painter Charles Poerson. Of the eight original pieces, only four remain, three of which are on display at the Tau Palace : Marriage Proposal by Clovis, Clovis and Clotilde's Marriage, Clovis Baptism, The Battle of Tolbiac remaining in reserve. Are missing: Aurelian bringing a message to Clotilde, The Wedding Meal, The King of the Franks Raised on the Bulwark, The Testament.
